(InfoSec 101) Managing passwords can be difficult, but a secure password manager can help you be more efficient by generating, remembering, organizing, and filling in your passwords. Princeton has partnered with LastPass to supply complimentary LastPass password management accounts to students, faculty, and staff (for more information, visit: https://princeton.edu/lastpass). This secure password management tool stores passwords in an electronic, encrypted vault. Join this session to walk through setting up your account(s) and get an overview of the product’s key features.

InfoSec 100-level classes: Classes with no prerequisites and typically define basic concepts or terminology.

What to expect:
We will talk about the product, its benefits, and how students, faculty, and staff can obtain their free accounts.

Meet the facilitator:
My name is Tara Schaufler, and I am the awareness and training program manager in the Information Security Office. My co-facilitator is Steve Niedzwiecki, and he is the associate chief information security officer in the Information Security Office.

NOTE: Tara Schaufler authored a blog post for Educause about password managers. "The Magical World of Password Managers: A skeptic overcomes uncertainty and anxiety, adopts a password manager, and becomes a champion of the technology." Read it here: https://er.educause.edu/blogs/2020/10/october-2020-bonus-post-the-magica...
